Multiple Brush Fires Spark Evacuations in Riverside County
A brush fire, known as the Gavilan Fire, threatens homes near Corona, prompting evacuations in the Gavilan Hills community. The fire has burned approximately 250 acres with 25% containment. Evacuees are directed to Martin Luther King High School, while animals can be taken to the Riverside County Department of Animal Services shelter. Firefighters are using airplanes and helicopters to drop fire retardant and halt the fire's spread.
