Lin-Manuel Miranda Returns to Broadway with Warriors Musical Featuring an All-Female Cast
Lin-Manuel Miranda will return to Broadway in spring 2027 with Warriors, a gender-flipped stage adaptation of the 1979 cult film developed with playwright Eisa Davis. The one-act musical reimagines the Warriors as an all-women gang on a homeward NYC journey, directed by Jenny Koons with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler; previews begin March 2027 at the Lunt-Fontanne. Miranda serves as lead producer but will not act, and the project evolved from a 2024 concept album featuring collaborators like Lauryn Hill, RZA, Ghostface Killah and more.
