Generation 9/11: Growing up in a world reshaped by the day that changed everything
The Netflix documentary Turning Point: Generation 9/11 follows people who were infants or toddlers on 9/11 to explore how the event and the ensuing 25 years of war, policy, and social change have shaped a new generation. Through intimate stories—from a young Marine veteran to descendants of victims and survivors—the film connects 9/11 to Afghanistan, the war on terror, and domestic issues like immigration and enforcement. While moving and journalistically provocative, it covers too much ground for its 96-minute runtime; its strongest moments come from personal, generation-spanning memories that reveal the ongoing impact of that day on identity and national life.
