Forbes 30 Under 30 Alum Roger Duarte Killed in Kenyan Helicopter Crash
Roger Duarte, a millionaire seafood entrepreneur and former Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, was among five Americans killed when a helicopter crashed near Mount Ololokwe in northern Kenya. Other Americans on board included Jose Suárez, Henry Parra, and Adam Hlavaty, plus a fifth American; the crash also claimed Ecuador’s intelligence chief Michele Sensi-Contugi, his wife, and pilot Josh Outram. Duarte—married with two children and his wife Nicole Valls Duarte—was honored for his work and his death is being investigated.
