Sam Raimi will produce a new film adaptation of Stephen King’s Desperation for Searchlight Pictures, with Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein (Final Destination Bloodlines) in talks to direct and Ryan Brennan writing; the adaptation centers on a group of travelers in a remote desert town facing a sadistic, possessed cop, with potential links to King's parallel novel The Regulators.
