An 18-year-old man from Massachusetts has been arrested for allegedly trying to raise money for ISIS through a gift card scheme on the dark web. Ventura knowingly provided gift cards to an individual he believed to be an ISIS supporter to be sold on the dark web for less than face value. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 if found guilty. Ventura's father claims his son did nothing wrong, but the FBI says he exchanged messages with an undercover agent on an encrypted messaging app used by ISIS supporters to communicate their support for ISIS and plan attacks.
