Australian court doubles damages for trans woman in landmark discrimination ruling
In a landmark decision, Australia’s Federal Court in Sydney ruled that Roxanne Tickle faced direct gender-identity discrimination when app founder Sall Grover blocked her from the Giggle for Girls app; Grover’s appeal was rejected and the compensation was increased to AU$20,000, the first such gender-identity discrimination case heard by the Federal Court.
