
Hit-and-run driver surrenders to police after striking girl on bike in East Bridgewater
The hit-and-run driver who struck an 11-year-old girl riding her bike in the parking lot of an elementary school in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, turned herself in to the police. The 62-year-old woman from Florida will face charges including negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury. The girl's mother declined medical transportation for her daughter, who was pushed about 60 feet by an SUV. The driver, wearing blue hospital scrubs, spoke to the girl before leaving the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
