Amnesty report links Cambodian military and police to five security firms guarding scam compounds
Amnesty International has released a report alleging that Cambodian police and military officers worked as private security guards in scam compounds, enabling forced labor and torture. The investigation identifies five security companies, including Leap Somnang, linked to at least 23 compounds. While the government claims to have shut down hundreds of sites, Amnesty argues the infrastructure of impunity remains intact due to state involvement.
