Diggs' goal-post TD celebration costs Commanders a potential game-tying two-point try
Stefon Diggs celebrated a 10-yard TD by leaping onto the goal post, drawing a 15-yard penalty that prevented Washington from attempting a game-tying two-point conversion after Diggs’ score. The Commanders trailed 17-9, later made it 17-16 after an extra point, and ultimately lost 24-22 to the Eagles. Dan Quinn had planned to go for two, but the penalty forced the extra point; Diggs acknowledged the rule and the mistake afterward.
