
Delaware hunter charged after fatally shooting woman he mistook for a deer
A 74-year-old hunter, Walter Moorhead of Salisbury, Maryland, was charged in Ellendale, Delaware, with manslaughter, reckless endangerment and a firearm offense after allegedly firing at a woman he says he mistook for a deer while hunting from a camouflaged ground blind. The 39-year-old Santos Maria Chilel Soto died at a hospital, and Moorhead was released on a $43,000 cash bond as authorities investigated the incident.
