Hotel Guest Skips $70K Bill After 603-Night Stay
A hotel guest identified as Ankush Dutta checked out from a five-star hotel in Delhi after staying for 603 nights without paying a bill of about $70,000. A police investigation is underway, and the hotel's front-office manager and other staffers are accused of hacking into the computer system and falsifying records in exchange for cash bribes. The hotel's shaky bookkeeping came to light during a recent review of the books.
