Plaion Replai and SNK unveiled the Neo Geo+ AES, a $249.99, 1:1 hardware replica of the original AES powered by newly manufactured ASIC chips based on the originals (not emulation or FPGA) and capable of playing native AES cartridges (not MVS). It adds modern touches like low-latency 1080p HDMI, DIP-switch language options, and overclocking, with three SKUs including an Anniversary Edition and an Ultimate Edition, launching November 12, 2026, as part of an effort to offer authentic Neo Geo gameplay at a more attainable price.
