Abortion Leads to Fatal Shooting of Dallas Woman by Boyfriend, Police Say
Harold Thompson, a 22-year-old man from Texas, allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend, Gabriella Gonzalez, after learning that she had traveled to Colorado to have an abortion. Thompson was believed to be the father and did not want Gonzalez to have an abortion. The shooting was captured on surveillance video, and Thompson was later arrested on murder charges. Texas has a trigger law banning nearly all abortions after six weeks of pregnancy.
