Tennessee baseball faces Southern Miss in NCAA Super Regional rematch.

Southern Miss Baseball will host the 2023 NCAA Baseball Hattiesburg Super Regional for the second consecutive year, playing against the Tennessee Volunteers. The winner of the series will advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. The series will begin on Saturday, June 10, and will be televised on ESPNU. This will be Southern Miss Baseball's third appearance in the NCAA Super Regionals, and their second time hosting a Super Regional.

Multiple Juvenile Arrests Made in Connection to Hattiesburg Shootings

Two individuals involved in a shooting near a Walmart in Hattiesburg were later found at a local hospital and pharmacy. The shooting occurred just after midnight and was reported by staff at Forrest General Hospital. The individuals had met to purchase/sell an X-Box when they exchanged gunfire. Both individuals are accounted for, and the investigation is ongoing.
