
Tragic Death of Woman Hiking in Extreme Heat at Grand Canyon
A 57-year-old woman died while hiking in triple-digit heat at Grand Canyon National Park. The woman became unconscious and was pronounced dead in a heat-related fatality. An excessive heat warning has been issued for inner canyon portions of the park, and park officials are urging visitors to be prepared for excessively hot days. The National Park Service is conducting an investigation into the death.
