MSP-Certified Ram 2500 HD Police Cruiser Heads to Duty
Ram’s 2027 Ram 2500 Emergency Response Vehicle has passed the Michigan State Police evaluation to become a certified police-duty pickup. Built on the Special Service Vehicle platform, it features a 6.4L Hemi V-8, heavy-duty eight-speed TorqueFlite, 4.10:1 axle, anti-slip differentials, dual 400-amp alternators, and specialist wiring to power lights and gear; MSP testing logged 0–60 in 8.41s, 0–80 in 13.22s, 0–100 in 20.5s, a top speed of 103 mph, and 40 laps on Grattan Raceway, meeting handling and tire-wear requirements. Ram did not disclose price and expects duty in late 2026.
