Original Supergirl Star Defends New Take on the Kryptonian Heroine
Helen Slater, who starred in the 1984 Supergirl film, defended Milly Alcock’s performance in the new movie, praising her as fierce with strong comic timing, as the film faces mixed reviews and a $38 million domestic debut with projected losses around $100–120 million for Warner Bros. Slater also recalled her own film’s flop and noted there were no sequels planned.
