Rescue and Arrest Made After Kidnapping Victim Signals for Help
A 13-year-old kidnapping victim in Southern California was rescued after she made a "Help Me!" sign, leading to the arrest of a 61-year-old Texas man. The suspect allegedly pulled a gun on the girl in San Antonio and sexually assaulted her during a drive from Texas to California. The girl flashed her sign while the suspect was in a laundromat, prompting a bystander to call 911. The suspect was found with a BB gun, a switchblade, and handcuffs in his vehicle. He now faces federal kidnapping charges and could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted.
