Boos erupt as Draper hindrance call seals Medvedev’s Indian Wells win
Daniil Medvedev’s Indian Wells quarterfinal against Jack Draper featured a controversial hindrance call after video review: Draper raised his arm during a rally, which officials ruled distracted Medvedev and awarded the point to Medvedev. The decision provoked loud boos from the crowd as Draper argued the motion didn’t affect play. Medvedev went on to win in straight sets (6-1, 7-5) and advance to the semifinals to face the winner of the Alcaraz–Norrie clash.
