Former glam-rock star Gary Glitter charged in 1978–81 abuse case
British prosecutors charged former glam-rock star Gary Glitter (Paul Gadd) with unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under 13 and three counts of indecent assault on a girl under 14, in connection with alleged abuse dating from 1978–1981. Glitter, 82, is already serving a 16-year sentence for abusing three schoolgirls between 1975 and 1980 and was released on licence in 2023 but recalled weeks later for breaching licence conditions.
