Army-Navy Game Hotel Reservations Canceled Amid Massachusetts Migrant Crisis
Hotel reservations for the Army-Navy game in Massachusetts have been canceled due to an influx of migrants. Travel agent Mark Mansbach received calls from clients whose hotel rooms were canceled because the hotels had leased them to the state to house migrants under the right to shelter law. At least 70 reservations were impacted. The hotels, owned by Giri Hotel Management, released a statement expressing their commitment to providing shelter and support to refugees. Governor Maura Healey expressed distress over veterans being moved from hotels and instructed the Office of Veteran Services to investigate the matter.
