Republicans Rally Behind Trump Amidst Manhattan DA's Probe and Potential Indictment
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has requested testimony from two former prosecutors who resigned from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's Trump investigation in February 2022 over disagreements with Bragg's reluctance to try and indict Trump on the second grand jury that had been empaneled in the case. Jordan is also leading a House GOP probe into Bragg's handling of the hush money probe into former President Trump, accusing him of being political. Democrats have criticized the probe, calling it an abuse of power that could obstruct a possible criminal indictment.
