
Carly Simon reveals Parkinson's diagnosis and new album plans
Carly Simon has disclosed that she has Parkinson's disease, describing its progression as unpredictable and sometimes frightening, while continuing to write, sing and work with treatment; she also shared that she recently underwent surgery to remove a cancerous growth on her face. The 83-year-old singer is releasing a new album, Comes In Waves, in August 2026, with the first single Howl.
