White Sox add Brazobán from Mets in two-prospect swap
The Chicago White Sox acquire right-handed reliever Huascar Brazobán from the New York Mets in exchange for prospects Gabe Davis and Zach Franklin. Brazobán, 36, has posted a 2.56 ERA over 52⅔ innings this season with strong ground-ball tendencies (about 52.6%) and a 96–97 mph fastball, plus a low-90s changeup. He’s expected to serve as a setup arm behind closer Grant Taylor, complementing left-handed options as Chicago strengthens its bullpen for a postseason push. Brazobán is under club control for three more seasons at roughly $1.05 million this year, with a small $316K stretch-run obligation.
