Hudson Pacific Shrinks Quixote Footprint, Exits GA/NM and Slashes LA Soundstages
Hudson Pacific is winding down Quixote’s operations in Los Angeles and exiting Georgia and New Mexico, including layoffs of about 70 employees in Atlanta and LA. The company will relocate select Quixote equipment to Los Angeles and New York while declining leases at several LA soundstages (West Hollywood, Van Nuys) and keeping Griffith Park Studios occupied by other tenants. Quixote’s fleet and rental services will remain operational to support remaining productions. The move is aimed at achieving about $21–$27 million in annualized cost savings and allows Hudson Pacific to focus on higher‑performing assets like Sunset Studios and its office portfolio amid a broader slowdown in TV/film production. Netflix remains in final talks to buy Radford Studio Center, a potential market reshuffle for LA space.
