Quixote Studios Winds Down Atlanta, Shifts Assets to NYC and LA
Quixote Studios is winding down its Atlanta operations and redeploying equipment to New York and Los Angeles, while exiting most leased sound stages in L.A.; the phased wind-down will cut about 70 jobs across Atlanta and L.A. in coming quarters. Hudson Pacific, which bought Quixote in 2022 for $360 million, expects up to $27 million in annual cost savings and will focus on its higher‑performing studio/office assets, with Quixote’s fleet and services continuing in NYC/LA and Sunset Studios remaining unaffected; L.A. leases will wind down except for Griffith Park, signaling broader portfolio discipline.
