
Two Army Aviators Killed in AH-64 Apache Crash Near Salado, Texas
The U.S. Army identified Chief Warrant Officer 2 Deontre Huey and Warrant Officer Seth Olmstead as the two soldiers killed when an AH-64 Apache crashed during a maintenance test flight near Salado, Texas. The helicopter belonged to Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood. The crash sparked a grass fire of about 155 acres and is under investigation; the Army has ordered a stand-down of AH-64 Apache training flights.
