Tragedy Strikes as Restaurateur's Son Dies in Freak Escalator Accident at Madison Square Garden.
Ernest Vogliano Jr., the son of the owner of Il Vagabondo, a popular Italian restaurant in NYC, died in a fatal fall from an escalator railing at Madison Square Garden after a Rangers hockey game. The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has ruled his death an accident due to blunt force trauma. Vogliano, 61, was a friend to many and loved horses, beekeeping, skiing, and hockey.
