Imola GP uncertain after devastating floods in Italy.
The Imola GP race in Italy has been cancelled due to extreme weather and flooding in the region, with F1's desire not to hinder relief efforts being a central reason. While there is a desire to find a spot on the calendar to hold a race this year, it is considered highly unlikely. F1 does not have the flexibility to delay the race due to the preparation process that begins long before the first car emerges from the garage. There are limited gaps in the calendar, and changing the August summer break would require a rule change that needs unanimous approval from the teams.
