Olivia Wilde recounted on the Table Manners podcast that her on‑set kiss with Penelope Cruz in The Invite was improvisational. She said she was so shocked she turned to the lens and blurted “Cut. Namaste!” after Cruz improvised the moment, which ended up in the final cut. Wilde also described feeling “mind blown” and admitted she was “madly in love” with Cruz, while noting Cruz’s wig transformed the characters Angela and Pína in the film.
