Alibaba's Upgraded AI Model Takes on Microsoft and Amazon, Dominates Chinese Tech Industry
Alibaba has upgraded its AI model, Tongyi Qianwen, with "hundreds of billions of" parameters, making it one of the world's most powerful AI models. The company has also released eight industry-specific AI models for entertainment, finance, healthcare, and legal industries. This move reflects the intense competition among tech companies to dominate China's growing AI market. Chairman Joe Tsai stated that approximately half of the large-language AI models in China now run on Alibaba Cloud.
