Oregon's Psychedelic Therapy Scene Takes Off with First Psilocybin Facilitators
The first-ever psilocybin facilitators in the US have completed their training in Oregon, where the state is set to launch a psilocybin programme. The trained practitioners will help people take psychedelic mushrooms under the programme, which is aimed at treating maladies such as depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. The facilitators have learned about psilocybin dosing, ethics of touch and trauma-informed presence. However, there are still many unanswered questions, including where they will find work, how much they will earn and whether their workplaces will be raided by federal authorities.
