US Approves $4B Sale of Missile Defense System to Poland
The U.S. Department of State has approved a potential $4 billion foreign military sale of the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) to Poland for its air-and-missile defense systems. The sale includes 93 IBCS Engagement Operations Centers and 175 IBCS Integrated Fire Control Network relays, which will be used to enhance Poland's air defense capabilities. If approved by Congress, Poland will become the first country to declare IBCS operational. This deal comes as Poland seeks to strengthen its defense capabilities amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
