"ICJ Rules on Ukraine's Allegations Against Russia in Landmark Case"
The International Court of Justice has rejected much of Ukraine's case against Russia, which accused Moscow of funding separatist rebels in eastern Ukraine and being a "terrorist state." The court ruled that Russia had failed to investigate alleged breaches but declined to rule specifically on Russian responsibility for the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17. The ICJ also found Russia had not taken sufficient measures to enable education in Ukrainian in occupied Crimea. The court's judgments are final and without appeal, but it has no way to enforce its rulings.
