Apple accelerates security updates to counter AI-powered hacking threats
Apple released iOS 26.5.2, iPadOS 26.5.2, and macOS 26.5.2 earlier than planned to patch vulnerabilities in the kernel, WebKit, and WebRTC after citing rising AI-powered hacking risks; the patches were originally slated for 26.6, but Apple pushed them out to reduce the window attackers have to exploit flaws, noting there was no evidence of exploits yet.
