Twitter Blue: Payment, Sign-Ups, Verification, and Controversy
An iOS Shortcut called Checkmate allows users to find out if a Twitter account is paying for the blue badge or if it is a legacy verified account. Twitter has stopped distinguishing between those who pay for Twitter Blue and those who have a legacy verified badge. Elon Musk had promised to remove the legacy blue check badge, but his plans have been delayed. Musk also announced that Twitter will stop recommending tweets from non-Blue users and such users should also be blocked from voting in polls in the future.
