Nebraska Football's Recruiting Success Continues with Impressive Additions and Commitments
Iowa Western Community College's head coach, Scott Strohmeier, praised Nebraska football coach Matt Rhule and his recruiting efforts after visiting the program. Strohmeier was impressed by Rhule's coaching style, culture, and dedication to recruiting. Several Iowa Western players also attended the visit and toured Nebraska's football facility. Additionally, Nebraska has added several walk-ons to its roster, including quarterback Luke Longval, who chose to walk-on after rehabbing from an ACL injury. Despite changes in the JUCO recruiting landscape, Iowa Western continues to produce Power Five Conference recruits. Nebraska remains in contact with players who fit Rhule's vision, and while he may not heavily rely on JUCO players, he is open to adding some to the team.
