Houthis warn U.S. and allies against joining Yemen war as their gains reshape the conflict
The Houthi movement asserts momentum is shifting in Yemen, citing advances such as taking Mokha and tightening control along the western coast and saying the balance of power now favors Sanaa. They warn the U.S. and other outside supporters not to join the Saudi-led campaign. The war has caused massive casualties (UN estimates around 150,000) and threatens famine, while the U.S. has shown little interest in direct military involvement. Iran’s leverage remains a factor, and Washington’s stalled talks with Tehran complicate any potential diplomatic path to end the conflict; a peace settlement could require concessions to Iran.
