Cornell Accuser Faces Swatting and Threats as Legal Battles Intensify
The Cornell sexual assault case has escalated into a multi-front crisis involving severe safety threats against the accuser, local government restrictions on the university, and legal challenges to the state’s special prosecutor. Jane Doe, the former student, is currently hiding at her parents’ home after a swatting incident and death threats, while the Ithaca Common Council has suspended event permits for Cornell. Simultaneously, a defendant is attempting to remove New York Attorney General Letitia James from the criminal investigation, citing bias.
