Studio Ghibli's mysterious marketing strategy for Hayao Miyazaki's final film
Studio Ghibli's "final" film from renowned filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki will be released in Japan with no promotion, in a move to avoid spoilers and let the film speak for itself. Studio producer Toshio Suzuki stated that he wanted to do the opposite of American movies that release multiple trailers, revealing too much of the plot. However, the surprise release may not be possible for audiences outside of Japan.
