Perry’s Live-In Assistant Sentenced in Ketamine-Linked Death Case
Kenneth Iwamasa, Perry’s live-in assistant, was sentenced to nearly 3.5 years in prison and fined $10,000 for his role in the 2023 death of Matthew Perry after administering three ketamine doses. He was the final defendant to be sentenced, having pleaded out earlier, while Jasveen Sangha (the Ketamine Queen) received 15 years for distributing the drug. The judge ruled that while there was no evidence of malicious intent, Iwamasa’s close relationship with Perry and his failure to intervene constituted recklessness, with Perry’s reported last words before the incident, “Shoot me up with a big one,” cited in coverage.
