Sanoja's eighth-inning bloop lifts Marlins past Dodgers, 3-2
Javier Sanoja entered the game as a defensive replacement in the sixth and delivered the go-ahead infield bloop with two outs in the eighth, giving the Miami Marlins a 3-2 win over the Dodgers in Los Angeles. Esteury Ruiz and Liam Hicks hit solo homers for Miami, while Sanoja’s eighth-inning RBI capped the scoring. Andrew Nardi earned the win with a perfect eighth, and Calvin Faucher notched the save. Sandy Alcántara allowed two runs over six innings and Tyler Glasnow struck out a season-high nine for L.A. The Dodgers tied the game earlier, and even after loading the bases in the ninth, Freddie Freeman grounded into a game-ending double play, keeping Miami from a sweep.
