Ausable Forks man charged with second-degree murder in Jay homicide
New York State Police arrested Tucker J. Taylor, 48, of Ausable Forks, for second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of Patricia Lawrence, 54, whose body was found Aug. 2 at a Carey Road home in Jay. Autopsy ruled the cause of death as stab wounds to the neck and heart. Taylor was arraigned Sept. 13 and is held without bail, with a next court date set for Sept. 18 in Elizabethtown; the investigation involved multiple agencies including the Plattsburgh and Lake Placid police departments and regional sheriff offices as well as the DEA.
