The Detroit Lions have added Jim O'Neil as Defensive Assistant, Deshea Townsend as Passing Game Coordinator/Defensive Backs, and Terrell Williams as Run Game Coordinator/Defensive Line to their coaching staff, bringing a wealth of experience from both the NFL and NCAA ranks. O'Neil has 12 seasons of NFL coaching experience and eight seasons in the NCAA, while Townsend brings 10 seasons of NFL coaching experience and a 13-season career as a cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts. Williams, with 27 seasons in coaching and 13 years in the NFL, most recently spent six seasons with the Tennessee Titans, where he helped lead the defensive line to impressive performances.
