Joni Mitchell's Powerful Gershwin Prize Performances on PBS
Joni Mitchell was honored with the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, with a concert featuring performances by James Taylor, Herbie Hancock, Brandi Carlile, and more. Mitchell herself performed George Gershwin's "Summertime." The PBS special, which documents the event, includes musical tributes and photos and videos from throughout Mitchell's career. Mitchell joins previous recipients such as Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, and Sir Paul McCartney. The special airs on PBS stations at 9 p.m. ET tonight.
