Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Continues to Expand with Wave 5 DLC

Wave five of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe booster pack DLC will add a new course called Squeeky Clean Sprint and three new characters: Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Kamek. Despite being a decade-old game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to sell well, with 53.79 million copies sold globally as of March 2021. The DLC will be available on the eShop later this summer, and those with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack can get it for free.

Nintendo announced the upcoming release of Wave 5 of the Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which includes a new track called Squeaky Clean Sprint and three new drivers: Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Kamek. Kamek was previously planned for Mario Kart 64 but was swapped out for Donkey Kong. The Booster Course Pass costs $24.99 and is available on the Nintendo eShop. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the Switch's best-selling game of all time, with over 53 million copies sold.
