Sony CEO acknowledges challenges of cloud gaming technology.
Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida has acknowledged the challenges of cloud gaming, including high technical difficulties and cost inefficiencies due to server idleness. However, he stated that Sony wants to take on these challenges and continue to explore various options for cloud gaming. Yoshida also pointed out that latency is the biggest challenge for cloud gaming. Sony was an early mover in cloud gaming, having acquired Gaikai in 2012 and the technology of its rival OnLive.
