Netflix is developing Grown Ups 3, reuniting Adam Sandler with his Happy Madison troupe for a third installment. Kyle Newacheck will direct, from a script by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, with Sandler, Jackie Sandler, Jack Giarraputo and Herlihy producing. The cast is set to include Sandler along with David Spade, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock and Kevin James, continuing the franchise about a group of childhood friends reuniting for a summer. Netflix remains the natural home for the sequel given Sandler's long-running deal with the streamer.
Dennis Dugan, the original director of the 1996 comedy 'Happy Gilmore,' is returning as an actor and executive producer for the Netflix sequel 'Happy Gilmore 2,' directed by Kyle Newacheck. Adam Sandler reprises his role as Happy Gilmore, with returning cast members Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen, and Ben Stiller, and new additions like Benny Safdie and Bad Bunny. The film is currently in production with no announced release date.
