"Fatal Stabbing: Las Cruces Police Officer Killed in Line of Duty"
A New Mexico police officer, Jonah Hernandez, died after being stabbed while responding to a trespassing report. The suspect, who allegedly trespassed onto the property, was shot and killed by a witness. Hernandez, who had worked for the Las Cruces Police Department for two years, leaves behind his wife and two sons. The suspect, a 29-year-old man, has not been identified pending notification of his next of kin.
