Beware of Fake Discounts and Scams on Amazon Prime Day
Amazon offers a layaway program called Amazon Layaway, which allows customers to pay for their purchases in installments. However, this option is not available for all products or in all states. With Amazon Layaway, customers pay 20% upfront and make four additional 20% payments on scheduled dates over an eight-week period. Taxes and shipping costs are included in the final payment. If a payment is missed, the layaway plan is canceled, and the customer is refunded. This is different from Amazon's Affirm payment plan, which allows customers to buy now and pay later but comes with interest and potential credit score implications.
